Hey,
I’m Vernon Howard—web developer, problem-solver, and the person behind this blog.
I run VSHoward LLC, a freelance web development business based in Norwalk, CT. I specialize in building, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress sites for businesses of all sizes. Whether it’s custom development, troubleshooting, or ensuring a website runs smoothly, I’ve been handling it all for years. I also work as a subcontractor for agencies, providing reliable, high-quality WordPress development behind the scenes. If you need a detail-oriented developer who gets things done, let’s talk.
Beyond my work in tech, I serve as the Vice President of Friends of Cranbury Park, a non-profit dedicated to preserving and enhancing one of Norwalk’s most beloved outdoor spaces. I have a deep appreciation for well-maintained public spaces and the role they play in the community.
I’m an INTJ, which means I thrive on strategy, efficiency, and solving complex problems—whether it’s streamlining a website’s performance or navigating the challenges of freelance work. This blog is where I share insights from my projects, solutions to WordPress challenges, and thoughts on running a business as a developer. But it’s not all about work.
Outside of development, I enjoy reading and hiking with my two Jack Russells, Rusty and Milo. I also spend a lot of time with my long-time girlfriend—whether we’re working from home, exploring new places, or just enjoying a quiet evening together.
Thanks for stopping by! If you’re interested in working together, feel free to reach out through my professional website here.
