Welcome to my blog! If you’re reading this, chances are you’re curious about who I am, what I do, or why I even started this blog in the first place. So, let’s dive in.
Who Am I?
I’m Vernon Howard, a freelance WordPress developer and the founder of VSHoward LLC. I specialize in building and maintaining WordPress sites for businesses of all sizes, often working behind the scenes as a subcontractor for agencies. If there’s a technical challenge, I enjoy figuring out the best solution—efficiently and effectively.
Beyond work, I serve as the Vice President of Friends of Cranbury Park, a non-profit dedicated to preserving and improving one of Norwalk’s most beautiful outdoor spaces. When I’m not immersed in development or non-profit work, you’ll likely find me hiking with my two Jack Russells, Rusty and Milo, or spending time with my long-time girlfriend, ChunKyo Kim.
Why This Blog?
This blog is my space to share insights from my work, lessons I’ve learned as a freelancer, and thoughts on running a business in the WordPress world. It’s also a place where I can write about my interests outside of development, whether it’s the latest book I’m reading or a new trail I’ve explored with my dogs.
I’ve spent years solving complex WordPress problems for clients, and if I can document solutions that help someone else along the way, even better. Expect a mix of technical deep dives, business discussions, and personal reflections.
What’s Next?
